The 6 – 11th October is UK Wool Week an event initiated by the Campaign for Wool (patron HRH The Prince of Wales) designed to celebrate all that is wonderful about wool and to raise awareness of all the businesses involved in the production and sale of woollen clothes and textiles.

Here at A Hume we have been busily engaged in pulling the wool – not so much over eyes, more over heads, around shoulders and mainly encasing whole people in wool – ever since Archie’s granddad first opened shop 85 years ago.

From our home in the heart of the Scottish Borders, an area internationally renowned for its woolen textiles and cashmere, we are uniquely positioned to source the finest cloths and yarns.

Soft, natural, durable and warm, wool is at the heart of what we do. Our collections showcase the highest quality yarns, tweeds, lambswool and luxury cashmere and to celebrate Wool Week we’ve chosen our favourite wool items from our AW14 range.
