Now that the freakishly cold, icy weather seems to have abated we thought we’d bring you our new looks for Spring 2013 – we’ve been holding these backs for weeks and I just don’t think we can keep them quiet any more.
We are so ready to move on from this winter and get with the spring programme – you too? Read on….
We’ve added some new labels to the A Hume Menswear stable and top of the pile are French lifestyle brand Eden Park, the rich purple of the Bengal Stripe shirt above feels just right for the crocus season and works perfectly with the Captain Currey cords and natural muted tones of the Bladen Tweed.
Clockwise from top left: Brook Taverner Doeskin Waistcoats – Camel, Bladen Tweed Sheringham Jacket Limited Edition, Eden Park Bengal Stripe Shirt, Scott Nichol Oxford Contrast Heel and Toe Socks, Loake Edward Shoe, Captain Currey Coloured Corduroys – Purple.
Inevitably the Wiggo effect is reverberating in the world of menswear and we’re not immune, you’ve got to love the clean, crisp, buttoned up style of the Gold Medal winning, mod revivalist cycling god Bradley Wiggins. Try it, you’ll be amazed, surprisingly easy to pull off – in real life the effect is more relaxed, retro Euro than Paul Weller clone.
A very classic look that’s all about the subtle cues and definitely underscores the wearer’s sporting credentials. The RM Williams rugby shirt will take you just about anywhere, a wardrobe staple to see you right through summer, the Barbour Chelsea Sportsquilt will see off a return of the icy easterlies but is lightweight and easy wearing and the RM William’s deck shoes are just about the best in the business.
