The joys of online shopping are boundless especially at Christmas; no barging through the crowds on a fools errand for a toy that sold out in October, no aching feet and trawling home with arms like an orangutan.
Much better to sit at home by the fire with a mince pie and a Wifi connection, and should you happen to have a festive tipple to see you through the process of acquisition, then all the better. Though we must warn you this can result in spontaneous acts of over-generosity and impulse buys you may live to regret, or forget, dependent on the size of your festive tipple.
However, there is a more serious, potential downside of online shopping in December – Christmas Parcel Delivery Anxiety. It’s a disease of the modern age that occurs when your parcel fails to arrive within the delivery deadline and symptoms include: hearing phantom diesel engines, accosting delivery men in your postcode area and an unwillingness to leave home at any time. Symptoms are exacerbated by snow, strikes and not having a porch.
Thankfully at A Hume we use Interlink Express to make our deliveries. We chose Interlink Express because of their first-time delivery success rate, their parcel tracking services, their fail-safe contingencies for bad weather and their large number of strategically positioned and rural based depots that care about our company’s reputation and our customer’s happiness.
Just to prove how confident we are of our delivery service we tracked a parcel from our HQ in Kelso to a customer in East Lothian who ordered a Dubarry Fur Headband and bootliners for next day delivery.
Follow the trail and order with confidence:
1. 4th December
An order for a Dubarry Fur Headband and bootliners is received. It is processed, packed and assigned an number: 29492. The customer is sent a confirmation email, and a receipt.
2. 4th December.
