We hope you all have been enjoying our #FeelGoodFebruary fun, and as February draws to a close, we wanted to end the month by giving back to a charity that inspires us.
In 2017 Scotland rugby international Doddie Weir OBE revealed he was suffering from Motor Neuron Disease. Since then, Doddie and his trustees have been on a mission to raise funds for research into the causes of MND and potential cures, along with providing grants to those suffering with MND, helping to improve their lives and the lives of their families and carers.
He admirably has taken on the challenge:
“My attitude is that you should do what you can today and worry about tomorrow when it comes. This is the card I’ve been dealt so I’ve just got to crack on.”
My Name’5 Doddie Foundation was established by Doddie and the trustees from witnessing the lack of resources and support given to MND sufferers and their families and wanted to provide some hope and comfort in the face of this currently incurable disease.
Tip: If you would like to hear more about the Foundation, visit the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation’s Official Website.
They have already committed millions of pounds to MND research and to provide practical support to those affected by MND, and here at A∙Hume we have been completely inspired by Doddie and the work carried out by the Foundation. To finish off our #FeelGoodFebruary we will be donating 10% of all sales from Monday 22nd to Sunday 28th February to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
