The winners of The Herald Scottish Family Business Awards were announced last night at a gala dinner in Glasgow’s Grand Central Hotel.
A Hume Country Clothing were nominated in three categories – Business Innovation, Scottish Family Business of the Year (Small/Medium) and Customer Service Excellence, facing stiff competition from some of the biggest names in Scottish Family Business, including Barrhead Travel and Crieff Hydro.
Archie Hume was there to receive the winning award for Customer Service Excellence, supported by TL Dallas:
“We’re delighted to be winners for the second year in a row. Customer service is at the heart of everything we do. Taking A Hume online means we now have tens of thousands of customers all over the world and it’s our aim to give every one of them the highest possible standard of personalised service. That takes a lot of hard work and clever thinking from a very dedicated team and this award recognises that effort. Our team in Kelso should be very proud – we are.”
The panel of judges included: Hugh Lightbody, Chief Officer, Business Gateway; Ian McConnell, Business Editor, The Herald; Bernard Dunn, Director, TL Dallas and senior representatives from all supporting companies.
