It might have been blowing a hoolie for the 1st Inspection at Badminton but this didn’t prevent horses or riders from putting on a good show for the vets and the crowds.

Spectators at Badminton have come to expect a little bit of catwalk as riders strutt their fashionable stuff alongside their mounts and the outfits didn’t disappoint.

We were particularly delighted to see Australian rider Bill Levett capture a little of the limelight in his Irish country tweeds meets Ozzie outback rider combo from Magee and RM Williams. Last year Bill’s A Hume outfit caused a bit of a stir with his flashing gold lining and this year his more understated but equally dashing look garnered compliments and saw him make it into Badminton’s top 3 Best Dressed Men list:

“For the boys, first timer Ben Way, Bill Levett and Sam Watson vied for our best dressed vote. Tweed was popular, with some flashes of coloured linings – this is becoming rather a Levett trademark, since his sponsorship by A Hume Country Clothing.”

Representing A Hume in the ladies camp Caroline Powell looked svelte and elegant in beautifully tailored suede from Dutch brand Anna Lascata paired with crisp, white jeans from RM Williams. For added protection from the chilly, gusting wind Caroline wore a fur headband similar to our Helen Moore headband in warm honey tones.

We look forward to seeing both riders compete in the dressage today and wish them all the very best for the event.
