Once in a lifetime, or once a year. However, or whenever you plan your boys trips we’ve got some ideas you’re going to love.
Clearly when planning a boys trip the emphasis should be on getting together with your friends. That said without a structured itinerary or activity the danger is you’ll head straight to the pub and well….stay there.
With that in mind, might we suggest:
Sailing the Dalmatian Coast
Create memories to last a lifetime on a boys’ own sailing holiday exploring the islands of the Dalmatian coast – there are over 1,000 of them. Island hop your way from Split to Dubrovnik, cutting loose in port and recovering at anchor in the secluded, picture perfect bays.
YachtGetaways was founded by three avid Kiwi sailors, they have vast experience of sailing in the med and offer bareboat and skippered charters.
Going for Golf
Scottish golfers may be spoilt by all the world class courses knocking about but a spot of sun is an overly rare treat. Given this, we’re recommending Portugal for your lads golfing break. We may not win any prizes for originality but this is not about originality. This is about making sure you have a good time swinging your clubs and swigging your pints.
We’re confident you’ll do both admirably in Southern Portugal. Top courses in the country include: Monter Rei, Quinta Do Lago, Oceanico and San Lorenzo. Golf Par Excellence offer tailormade trips.
One way to level the playing field in a mixed group is to try a completely new sport. Tarifa is a charming old Moorish town with lively nightlife on Spain’s southern tip, just a stone’s throw from Africa. Tarifa beach is long, white and sandy, the wind blows reliably, plus it’s within easy reach of Malaga.
Planet Kite Surf have been organising kite surfing holidays to Tarifa for over 12 years. They can organise both lessons and accommodation.
Partridge Shooting in France
Hunting game birds in France might be regarded as something of a connoisseur experience however with the help of Hunting France it is surprisingly accessible. Partridge, Hungarian (Grey) and Red-legged are handsome birds that present a significant challenge. The Hungarian, or Grey Partridge is found north of the Loire, it flies high and fast with whirring wings. The Red-legged Partridge is slightly larger and fast flying both high and low, it’s found in both North and South.
Hunting France over a variety of itineraries from a single days shooting up. They also offer big game stalking in both forest and mountain regions.
Bonding Weekend in Monaco
By Bonding we of course mean James Bonding. Fly into Nice and enjoy a Chauffer driven limo transfer to the Metropole where the Concierge can arrange Bondesque experiences: from diving with Pierre Frolla in crystal blue Cote D’Azur waters to driving an F1 car on the famous circuit at Luc in Provence.
