We love the Edinburgh Fringe but find the tricky thing is deciding what to see, reading reviews is a good idea, however it’s an idea shared by many and as soon as a show gets a good review it’s sold out.

Taking this on board we’ve trimmed down the hottest tips for the 2012 Fringe to include only those that still have tickets.

We’re also delighted to bring you a £5 off ticket offer exclusive to A Hume on two of the most wanted shows at the 2012 Fringe.

Tell All Your Friends – A Hume £5 off ticket offer exclusive:

£5 off – Tom Owen : Krapp’s Last Tape by Samuel Beckett

Tom Owen, star of Last Of The Summer Wine, returns to his theatrical roots in this powerful one-man play by Samuel Beckett. Tragically funny and hilariously sad; one man reviews his 69 years. A brilliant theatrical illustration of the internal conversation we have with ourselves.

The play tells the story of Krapp, a would-be writer, who each year since the age of 24 has recorded his impressions of the previous year on his birthday. Krapp’s Last Tape joins Krapp on his 69th birthday, as he listens to a tape recorded 30 years earlier.

Considered one of Beckett’s major theatrical achievements, the sonorous monologue is a searing portrait of failed ambition and impotent desire, delivered by one of Britain’s best-loved thespians.

Krapp’s Last Tape is at The Assembly Rooms Fringe, daily, 2.45pm, until August 31.

£5 off – Jimmie MacGregor : A Gathering of Songs, Stories and Famous Folk

During the 1960s Jimmie and his late duo partner Robin Hall became arguably Britain’s most famous folk musicians, thanks to nightly exposure on the BBC’s Tonight show. Then came Hullabaloo and The White Heather Club, numerous sellout concert tours and 20-odd albums. His also became an award-winning broadcaster, on TV sharing his love of the great outdoors, and on radio hosting the much-loved Macgregor’s Gathering for over a decade.

Now in his 80s, he’s back onstage. In this show Jimmie talks about his life: the stories, songs, and interviews with the likes of John Wayne and Tarzan. Relaxed, humorous visuals and music intersperse, creating a truly special evening.

Jimmie MacGregor is at The Assembly Rooms Fringe, daily, 9pm, until 31 August.
