More from Velo Vintage
Those following the A Hume blog over the last few weeks will have heard all about the fabulous, Velo Vintage Cycle West event in Dorset, of which we were, amongst others, proud sponsors. And we admit we have been effusive in our enthusiasm for all things tweed and vintage in the cycling world, but we really are feeling cock-a-hoop about this little video put together by VV maestro Alistair Cope and we absolutely had to share it.
We are stunned by the costumes, in awe of the blonde bombshell, she’s a truly authentic glossy pin up girl – don’t miss her, somewhere around the 1 minute mark – any WWII bomber would covet her image, and we’re suitably impressed by the proliferation of manly Nivenesque facial hair, twitching suavely in West Country breeze. Everyone has gone to such an extraordinary effort to delve deep into the dressing up box and emerge in glorious tribute to their chosen era, cloches, caps, bowlers and berets off to them all.
How long before the vintage boom hits Kelso? Toot-toot, and tally-ho.
