Menswear Retails Sales Adviser – Part Time, Permanent Position

Here at A·Hume we currently have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking individual to join our customer focused menswear team

Job Purpose 

To consistently deliver the highest standards of customer service in a busy retail environment, ensuring excellent standards are always maintained and comfortably working both independently and as part of a team.  

Core Job Duties

  • Greeting customers who enter the shop in a welcoming and friendly manner
  • Developing knowledge on products and brands to be able to assist with customer queries and offer advice
  • Involvement in stock control and management
  • Merchandising retail areas
  • Responsibility for processing cash and card payments and daily cashing up
  • Ensuring shop floor standards are maintained to the highest level, including day to day housekeeping tasks
  • Staying up to date with special promotions and displaying product - including both window dressing and shop floor displays
  • Put forward innovative ideas for instore, latest brands and display ideas
  • Demonstrate flexibility when required within the role and provide holiday and/or sickness cover
  • Able to attend external events, working offsite as required
  • Assisting with our Made to Measure & Personal Tailoring service (Training can be provided)

Skills and Interests
Interested individuals should be/demonstrate:

  • Previous retail, customer service and sales experience (preferable)
  • Experience in Made to Measure tailoring (desirable)
  • Exceptional communication and 'people' skills
  • Desire to provide excellent customer service and a great personal shopping experience with a polite and helpful manner
  • The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations
  • Motivated with excellent attention to detail
  • Be ready and able to work within a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft office with an aptitude to pick up new systems quickly
  • Clean driving licence
  • An interest in the ‘Country way of Life’

Hours: 3 days per week including Saturdays
Start Date: September 2021
Salary: Competitive based on experience
