Clare Haggas is an international wildlife and field sports artist who offers a beautiful collection of pure silk scarves, pocket squares and accessories. When Clare tried and failed to find a silk scarf she liked, the idea to create her own was born. With a passion for country pursuits and inspired by the wildlife in rural Lincolnshire, where Clare is based, she set about having her artwork rendered digitally to print onto silk. Clare paints in vibrant, energetic colours and she wanted the same in a scarf.
Each silk scarf is based on Clare’s original unique artwork. Her artwork is renowned for featuring the feathers of wild game birds; grouse, partridge and duck, but most notably – pheasants. The first Clare Haggas silk scarf was created using her original artwork called ‘Turf War’, with its vibrant design of fighting pheasants.
Clare Haggas scarves are British designed and exclusively made and hand-finished in England using the finest 100% pure silk twill. Ethical production is important to Clare Haggas. The whole process from concept to packaging is carried out in Britain; from the silk screen printing in Gloucestershire to the bespoke boxes.
