FIND OUT MORE ABOUT Pampeano

Pampeano produces exquisite leather goods in the stunning La Pampa region of Argentina, a region renowned for its panoramic views. Pampeano is inspired by South America’s rich heritage in horsemanship and traditional leatherwork. The brand first built its reputation by providing polo players in Argentina with their colours through hand-woven polo belts. These intricate belts remain an iconic Pampeano product, along with a unique collection of premium leather goods that are cherished by anyone who appreciates the simplicity and style of the South American lifestyle.

Selecting Quality Leather

Highly skilled South American artisans, living and working in the La Pampa region, are entrusted to hand-select only premium-grade cow leather to make each product. The thickness, smooth surface and quality of each piece of leather goes into making the finest leather goods.

Natural Vegetable Tanning Process

Then the leather is vegetable-tanned and tumbled in a traditional process that uses natural dyes and no harsh chemicals; meaning there is no risk of toxic chemicals rubbing off during wear. This process can take up to 60 days to complete and has remained largely unchanged for centuries: the hides are dehaired, degreased and desalted, before being added to the leather tanning drums with bark and plants from the local area. The result is beautifully tanned leather that is butter-soft to touch, yet durable in strength.

Hand-Weaving Inspired by the Andes

Pampeano’s master artisans handcraft each item and include the iconic pampa diamonds and shapes inspired by the Andes Mountains. Each iconic Pampeano belt is finished with brass buckles and hand-woven by artisans using waxed saddlery threads and meticulous detail; a skill that has been passed down through generations.

The time spent to create Pampeano leather belts is testament to their quality, giving the assurance of quality, soft and durable leather. Choose from polo belts, keyrings, wallets and dog accessories in an array of colours.
